The national-level management aptitude test, Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2019, will be conducted in the first week of January 2019 by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The entrance exam would be conducted in online mode. The online registration for XAT 2019 is expected to begin in the third week of August 2018. Management aspirants who wish to study at XLRI and other institutes which accept XAT score for the admission process would be able to fill the application form online. Around 90,000 students appear for the exam every year. XAT score is accepted by around 150 B-schools across the country. Management aspirants who wish to apply for XAT 2019 must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed by XLRI Jamshedpur. Here are the XAT 2019 eligibility criteria based on last year’s data.
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institute. The minimum duration of the programme has to be three years.
Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply provided they complete the programme within the stipulated schedule, which is most likely to be by June 2019.
Age limit - There is no age limit to apply for XAT 2019.
XAT Eligibility for NRI/Foreign candidates - NRI or foreign national candidates have to apply through GMAT scores. Candidates from Dubai or Nepal are exempted from applying through GMAT scores as XAT will be conducted in these two international cities.

XAT 2019 will be a computer-based test (online) of 215 minutes duration. The exam will be divided into two parts – Part I which will carry objective-type questions and Part II with a combination of objective and subjective questions. The admit card of XAT 2019 will be available online for the candidates who successfully fill the application form along with the application fee online. The admit card is expected to be available from the fourth week of December 2018. Candidates would be able to download the admit card using their XAT ID and password. Without the XAT 2019 admit card, candidates will not be allowed to take the entrance test. XAT admit card 2019 will display the candidate’s name, date of birth and contact details along with the test centre name and address. Exam day instructions will also be given on the admit card of XAT 2019.
The cutoff for XLRI Jamshedpur will be released after the announcement of the result. The XAT 2019 cutoff percentile will depend on various factors such as difficulty level of exam, the number of test takers and a number of seats offered in the programme among others.
